turkey meatballs pair nicely with a lighter sauce for a change in routine from the standard tomato based sauce. for dinner tonight, try using your favorite meatball recipe, or purchase premade meatballs from the meat counter at the market.
after the meatballs have baked for 20-25 minutes, add this sauce for something new.
to make the sauce:
heat 1/2 bottle of Heinz chili sauce with 1/2 cup of grape jelly in a saucepan. that’s it.
pour the sauce over the meatballs for the last 5 minutes of baking time and serve with pasta or for a meatball sandwich with the trimmings.
sweet and just spicy enough to make the turkey meatballs taste terrific.
