low-calorie and high protein meals are becoming more popular every day for better health.  grilled shrimp are a wonderful choice for a light easy meal.  this recipe comes from everyday food magazine, published by Martha Stewart. this glaze could also be used for chicken or beef.  it could be used on kabobs easily.

to make the glaze:  simply mix 2 tablespoons spicy chili sauce with 1/3 cup honey.  set aside and use during the last 4 to 5 minutes of grilling.

i grill the shrimp on the stove-top during the winter months, and glaze as directed just prior to serving.  along with the shrimp, i grilled a large white onion. additional vegetables could also be grilled to complement the meal.

 

this is a quick, easy and delicious glaze.  it is spicy and sweet and would also go well with grilled pineapple.
