here is a quick recipe pulled straight from Pinterest.  i made this recipe during the week, as I had an event to attend and wanted to try this candy. they were delicious, and very easy to prepare.  i only spent about one half hour making them.

they require only three ingredients, and i think they could be made for any holiday.  the secret would be to use color themed M and M’s for the holiday.  I know they have orange M and M’s for Halloween, green for St. Patrick’s Day, Yellow for Easter, Red, White and Blue for the Fourth of July.  Any holiday could be featured with this easy and delicious treat.

only three ingredients are required — smaller in size pretzels, Hershey hugs, and M and M’s in your chosen color.

Place the pretzels on a baking sheet that has been covered with a silpat mat or parchment paper. Unwrap the hugs and place one on each pretzel.  Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, and bake the pretzels for 3-5 minutes.  i checked mine at three and they were not soft enough, so i baked one more minute and they were perfect.

remove from the oven and carefully place one M and M per hug.  this can be a bit tricky.  i used a small spoon, otherwise fingers get in the way and the chocolate can slide onto the M and M and change the perfect appearance of the finished product.

when all the M and M’s are placed, put into the refrigerator to harden for at least 15 minutes.  remove and store between sheets of waxed paper.  i keep mine in the refrigerator until serving time.
