Summer baked peaches

Another amazing baked fruit dessert to try at the end of the season has to be summer baked peaches.  We enjoyed these and can’t wait to try them again.  Baked fruit is one of my favorite desserts any time of year, and summer peaches are perfect to offer to guests after any dinner.

To make this recipe, gather these ingredients:  1/2 cup sliced almonds, 2 tablespoons light brown sugar, 2 tablespoons honey, salt to taste, ground cinnamon, 2 tablespoons margarine, and 3 peaches

Heat the oven to 400 degrees.  Mix the almonds, sugar, honey and salt in a small bowl.  Add the butter to the ingredients and cut into the mixture.

Slice the peaches in half and remove the peach pits. Place the peaches in a baking dish or on a half sized sheet pan with a silpat mat, cut side facing up and fill each with some of the nut mixture.  Bake until the peaches are warm and soft about 20 minutes.  Enjoy with whipped cream or ice cream for a summer dessert.  This dish could also be served along with breakfast.
